RECOMMENDATION(S):

REAPPOINT Jennifer Doran to the Hercules Local Committee Seat on the Advisory Council on Aging as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Department Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Ms. Doran's term will end September 30, 2018. Ms. Doran fills the Hercules Local Committee Seat. She resides in Hercules.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

The Advisory Council on Aging (ACOA) provides a means for countywide planning, cooperation, and coordination for individuals and groups interested in improving and developing services and opportunities for the older residents of the County. The ACOA provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of older persons and serves as a channel of communication and information on aging.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Advisory Council on Aging may not be be able to conduct routine business.
