RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the Resignation of Jennifer Doran from the Advisory Council on Aging, At large Seat #10, DECLARE the seat vacant and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Department Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Ms. Doran resigned January 2017. She was appointed to the Advisory Council on Aging, At Large Seat #10, September 30, 2014. The seat will expire September 30, 2018.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

The Advisory Council on Aging (ACOA) provides a means for countywide planning, cooperation, and coordination of individuals and groups interested in improving and developing services and opportunities for older residents of the County. The ACOA provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of older persons and services as a channel of communication and information on aging.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Advisory Council on Aging may not be able to conduct routine business.
