RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Resolution No. 2016/330 proclaiming the 59th anniversary of the East County chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, as recommended by Supervisor Glover.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

Reminds children how far our country has traveled in ensuring the rights of all its citizens and the work and accomplishments of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in ensuring those rights and the need to remain vigilant during this time when the civil and voting rights of minorities and other people of color are being threatened.
