RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21651 to increase the hours of Clerk-Specialist Level (JWXD) ($3,385-$4,323) position #9920 from 35/40 to 40/40 in the Contra Costa Health Plan division of the Health Services Department.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The additional costs associated with this action are approximately $9,152 annually with benefits, including $2,211 in pension costs. Costs will be funded by CCHP Enterprise Fund II (100%).

BACKGROUND:

With the influx of patients utilizing Contra Costa Health Plan's services, a full-time Clerk-Specialist Level is needed to fulfill various clerical demands in CCHP's Case Management unit. Currently, position #9920 is a part-time 35 hour/week position and by making this change, it will become a full-time position.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, Contra Costa Health Plan's Case Management unit will not have the adequate staffing hours to meet the mandated requirements of the Plan.
