REVIEW and APPROVE the revised list of Transportation, Water and Infrastructure Committee referrals as recommended by the Board of Supervisors and ADVISE staff on the new referral as appropriate.
|

The Committee approved the revised list of referrals (attached) to include rail corridor safety with the following direction to staff:
- Identify possible infrastructure deficiencies
- Identify activity centers in the proximity of rail corridors
- Investigate "Operation Lifesaver" for grant opportunities
- Look to other analogous outreach/educational efforts so as not to "reinvent the wheel" including (Street Smarts, Flood Control Safety, City of Palo Alto Safety Program)
- Research/develop a public safety/education outreach campaing including a youth/school specific roll out

The Committee received the report and provided the following direction to staff:
- Bring the Iron Horse Corridor discussion back to the TWI Committee in May
- Bring the three weight fee related bills (SB1418-DeSaulnier, AB2728-Perea, AB2651-Linder) back for discussion at the May TWI Committee meeting
- Coordinate with Eric Figueroa at the League of Cities on the school siting issue.

RECEIVE report from staff and PROVIDE comments on the Board’s Delta Water Platform.
|
|
The Committee received the report with the following direction to staff:
- Circulate the platform to Contra Costa Water District staff for review/comment
- Ensure that information that is adopted by the Board (e.g. Platform) is distributed to the public via the Departments and/or Supervisor’s websites.
- Highlight problems with existing water bond
- The Committee approved the Platform for referral to the Board of Supervisors and directed staff to indicate the Platform changes in the Platform in the Board report.

RECEIVE report from the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District on the updated Bay Area and East Contra Costa County Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) Plans and FORWARD to the Board of Supervisors for adoption of both updated IRWM Plans.

The Committee received the report and directed staff to forward it to the full Board of Supervisors.
