FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded by 49% Federal Medi-Cal, 49% Mental Health Realignment and 2% Mt. Diablo Unified School District. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing school and community based mental health services including: assessments, individual, group and family therapy, medication support, case management, outreach, Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) and crisis intervention services for Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) middle and high school aged children and their families.

On September 10, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #24-928-28 with Fred Finch Youth Center, to provide school-based day treatment and mental health services for students in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, for the period from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020, which included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2020.

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-928-29 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide services through June 30, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not receive the negotiated rate increase.
