FISCAL IMPACT:

BACKGROUND:

The Council shall advise the Board of Supervisors on land issues and planning matters affecting the community of Byron and may represent the Byron community before the Board of Supervisors, the East County Regional Planning Commission, and the Zoning Administrator on such issues as land use, planning and zoning. The Council may also represent the Byron community before LAFCO on proposed boundary changes affecting the community. The Council may advise the Board of Supervisors on services which are or may be provided to the Byron Community by Contra Costa County or other local governmental agencies.

The seats for the Byron MAC expired December 31, 2016. Applications were accepted and the recommendation to appoint the above individuals was then determined.
