RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the resignation of Mr. Richard SanVicente, DECLARE vacant the Advisory Council on Aging, Member At Large Seat #1, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Department Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Mr. SanVicente resigned June 14, 2015. He was appointed to the Advisory Council on Aging, Member At Large, Seat #1, May 22, 2007. The seat appointment will expire September 30, 2017.  
  






BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
The Advisory Council on Aging (ACOA) provides a means for county-wide planning, cooperation, and coordination for individuals and groups interested in improving and developing services and opportunities for older residents of the county. The ACOA provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of older persons and serves as a channel of communication and information on aging.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Advisory Council on Aging may not be able to conduct routine business.
