RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee to execute on behalf of the County, Amendment/Extension Agreement #26-590-15 with The Greeley Company, Inc., a corporation, effective March 31, 2015, to amend Contract #26-590-11 (as amended by Contract Amendment/Extensions #26-590-12, #26-590-13 and Contract Amendment #26-590-14), to increase the payment limit by $58,000 from $639,800 to a new total payment limit of $697,800, to modify the payment provisions to extend utilization review and case management consulting services to Contra Costa Health Plan for the period from March 31, 2015 through December 31, 2015.

FISCAL IMPACT:

CCHP Enterprise Fund IIIl. This Amendment is 100% offset by salary savings and member premiums and will extend the term for continuation of utilization review and case management services through December 31, 2015. (No Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On January 14, 2014, the County Administrator approved and Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #26-590-11 (as amended by Contract Amendment/Extension Agreements #26-590-12 and #26-590-13 and Contract Amendment Agreement #26-590-14) with The Greeley Company, Inc., for the period from September 1, 2013 through December 31, 2015, to provide consulting services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers and Contra Costa Health Plan.

Approval of Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #26-590-15 will allow the Contractor to continue providing utilization review and case management consulting services for Contra Costa Health Plan, through December 31, 2015.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, Contra Costa Health Plan will not be able to receive additional utilization review and case management consulting services from this Contractor.
