RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21641 to add one permanent full-time Mental Health Program Manager (VQDC) at salary level ZA5-1844 ($6,708.50- $8,154.23) and cancel vacant permanent full-time Mental Health Program Supervisor (VQHP) at salary level ZA5-1749 ($6,106.25 - $7,422.19) position #14712 Org #5727 in the Health Services Department. (Represented)  

FISCAL IMPACT:

Upon approval, this action will result in an annual increased cost of $12,913.19, including pension cost of $3,118.49. Funding for this action will come from MHSA funding.  








BACKGROUND:

The Health Services Department is requesting to add a Mental Health Program Manager at First Hope Program. Frist Hope Program is geared toward the reduction of psychotic breaks through early intervention targeting those in high risk groups. First Hope works with both Children and Adult services clients 12-25 years of age throughout the entire system of care. The department has determined the best classification to manage the First Hope Program is Mental Health Program Manager.  

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the Health Services Behavioral Health Division will not be able to properly manage the demanding needs program of First Hope and may have an adverse impact on the consumers of the Frist Hope Program.   

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

This action includes First Hope client’s which are in the juvenile age bracket of 12-17 and would affect the services to the consumers of First Hope services.
