RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2015/4425 to prohibit parking at all times (red curb) on the east side of Jones Road (Road No. 4054A), beginning at a point 1,090 feet west and south of the west curb line of Oak Road (Road No. 4054B) and thence extending southerly a distance of 50 feet, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Walnut Creek area.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

Upon conducting an investigation of limited visibility due to vehicles parked adjacent to a driveway, it was determined that prohibiting parking at this location will improve roadway sight lines for roadway users.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Vehicles will continue to park at these locations and limit visibility for roadway users. Local authorities' parking enforcement abilities based on the California Vehicle Code will be limited.
