RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Administrator to execute a contract amendment with KMI Human Resources Consulting, Inc., to extend the term from March 31, 2015 to July 31, 2015 and increase the payment limit by $164,200 to a new payment limit of $535,000 to continue providing specialized administrative services.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The contract will be paid at the rate of $125.00 to $150.00 per hour, as utilized. (100% General Fund)

BACKGROUND:

This contract will allow the County Administrator's Office to provide ongoing human resources and labor relations services to the Board of Supervisors and County departments. The contract may be terminated by the County Administrator upon three days notice to the Contractor, or canceled immediately by written mutual consent.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the County will not secure additional specialized professional administrative services and the County will be negatively impacted.
