RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Department, Information Technology Unit, to execute a purchase order with OmniPro, Inc., of San Francisco, in the amount of $168,180, to procure 600 Hewlett Packard LaserJet Pro Color Laser Printers for the period March 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.

FISCAL IMPACT:

$168,180: 100% Administrative Overhead (10% County; 45% State; 45% Federal)

BACKGROUND:

The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) needs to replace it aging inkjet printers with more efficient and productive laserjet models. This purchase will allow EHSD to reduce costs while maintaining our current printing needs.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

EHSD will not increase efficiency with current printers.
