RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2015/4423 to prohibit parking at all times on the south side of Delta Road (Road No. 8261), beginning at a point 33 feet west of the center line of North Eden Plains Road (Road No. 8663B) and extending westerly a distance of 37 feet, Knightsen area.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

After receiving a complaint of inadequate sight lines at this intersection, the ensuing investigation revealed parked vehicles in close proximity to the intersection can result in reduced sight lines for motorists seeking to enter Delta Road from N. Eden Plains Road.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Vehicles may continue to park at this location and limit local authorities’ parking enforcement abilities based on the California Vehicle Code.
