RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Patricia Tanquary) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #27–368-11 with River Counseling Center, an unincorporated association, in an amount not to exceed $170,000, to provide professional Outpatient Psychotherapy services for Contra Costa Health Plan members for the period from March 1, 2009 through February 28, 2011.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan member premiums. Costs depend upon utilization.

BACKGROUND:

The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

On April 8, 2008 the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-368-9 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #27-368-10) with River Counseling Center, for the period from March 1, 2008 through February 28, 2009, to provided outpatient psychotherapy services.

Approval of Contract #27–368-11 will allow the Contractor to continue providing professional outpatient psychotherapy services to Health Plan members, through February 28, 2011.
