1.				Introductions

2.				Members of the public were given an opportunity to make comments on any item under the jurisdiction of the Committee that was not on the agenda. Speakers were limited to three minutes each. The committee received 2 comments from the public. Caller #1 commented on the boundaries of the district and the source of the funding for the Los Medanos Health Area Grant Program. Denisha March commented on the importance of the Grant program and the need to make accessing funds as easy as possible for smaller community-based organizations.

3.				Staff provided a presentation on the Los Medanos Community Healthcare District, Background, dissolution and transition to Contra Costa Health and the Advisory Committee. The Committee directed staff to provide information on the source of funding for the Los Medanos Health Area Grant Program. (Area where the tax applies and who are the beneficiaries) Public Comment was received by the committee on this item.

4.				Shanelle Scales-Preston, City of Pittsburg Mayor and Chair of the Los Medanos Health Advisory Committee provided a presentation on the activities of the committee since inception in June of 2023 and activities planned by the committee for the remainder of 2023. The committee discussed the difference between providing direct/upfront grants versus grants that are paid through reimbursement. Public comment was received by the committee on this agenda Item.
