4. Continue discussion on formulations of needs assessment.
Co-Chairs updated the work group regarding polling efforts. Labor will be taking the lead and funding the poll that will be conducted after the March Primary Election by FM3. Given that fact, the polling will go beyond testing need areas with likely voters, but also poll up and down on the question of a county general services sales tax. The committee then discussed final logistics and formatting around the needs assessment document. Two central questions were raised: when the document would be required to be completed to ensure compliance with the Brown Act, and in what format the assessment should be written. Regarding the first question, the group fixed the date for returning the needs assessment to March 24th in advance of the March 30th meeting of the Ad Hoc Potential Sales Tax Committee. Regarding the latter question, it was suggested that the assessment be presented in the form of a staff report.

5. Establish meeting schedule.
The next meeting of the Ad Hoc Potential Sales Tax Committee of the Finance committee of the Board of Supervisors will meet at 9am on March 30th, 2020 in room 101 of the County Administration building at 651 Pine Street, Martinez.
