RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #77-207 with Joint Preservation Institute, A Professional Corporation, in an amount not to exceed $200,000, to provide orthopedic surgery and sports medicine services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members, for the period March 1, 2019 through February 28, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #77-207, Contractor will provide orthopedic surgery and sports medicine services to CCHP members for the period March 1, 2019 through February 28, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services for CCHP members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
