RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #77-032-2 with Vibra Hospital of Sacramento, LLC, a Limited Liability Company, in an amount not to exceed $700,000, to provide long term acute care services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members, for the period from February 1, 2019 through January 31, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On March 27, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #77-032-1 with Vibra Hospital of Sacramento, LLC, to provide long term acute care hospital services for CCHP members for the period from February 1, 2018 through January 31, 2019.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #77-032-2 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide long term acute care services for CCHP members through January 31, 2020. This contract includes mutual indemnification to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of the performance of this contract.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialty health care services for CCHP members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
