RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #74-514-2 with Robin Asher, MD, an individual, in an amount not to exceed $199,680, to provide outpatient psychiatric care services for the period from April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 50% Federal Financial Participation and 50% by Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On March 15, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-514, (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #74-514-1) with Robin Asher, MD, for the provision of outpatient psychiatric care services to children and in East and West County through March 31, 2017.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #74-514-2 will allow Contractor to continue providing services through March 31, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s psychiatric care services.
