RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with KCI USA, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $300,000 for the purchase of canisters, dress drapes, and numerous other medical supplies for the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and the Contra Costa Health Centers for the period April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% funding is included in the Hospital Enterprise Fund I budget.

BACKGROUND:

KCI USA, Inc. has supplied numerous medical supplies and products to CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers for a number of years. Being able to purchase from this vendor is imperative to provide optimal patient care.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this Purchase Order is not approved, patient care will be compromised.
