RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase order with Downtown Ford, in an amount not to exceed $130,000 for the purchase of a new Ford F550 Super Cab Diesel Cone Truck for use by Public Works Road Maintenance, Countywide.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% Public Works Local Road Funds

BACKGROUND:

This purchase order is necessary to fund replacement of a 13 year old truck that is in poor operating condition.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this board order is not approved, Public Works Local Road Funds will be unable to replace the old vehicle.
