RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #77-007 with Gary B. Marcus, M.D., A Professional Corporation, in an amount not to exceed $150,000, to provide cardiology services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members, for the period from December 1, 2015 through November 30, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II.

BACKGROUND:

The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. Under Contract #77-007, the Contractor will provide cardiology services to CCHP members through November 30, 2017.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
