RECOMMENDATIONS

APPROVE amendments to the Housing Authority's Conflict of Interest Code, and DIRECT the Executive Director to submit the amended code to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors for approval.  

BACKGROUND

The Housing Authority Executive Director is proposing amendments to the Housing Authority's Conflict of Interest Code (Code) in order to comply with current legal requirements under the Political Reform Act and regulations of the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC). The amended Code incorporates the FPPC's model conflict of interest code, and any future revisions to that code. The list of designated positions (Exhibit A) in the Code also has been revised to remove old positions and add new positions. Finally, the disclosure categories (Exhibit B) in the Code have been revised. These amendments to the Code are shown in the attached redline version of the amended Code.
