RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Resolution No. 2014/27 Proclaiming February 2014 as Eligibility Workers Month, as recommended by the Health and Human Services Director.  

FISCAL IMPACT:

None

BACKGROUND:

The Eligibilty Workers in Contra Costa County are experts in the programs of CalFresh, CalWORKs and Medi-Cal and have worked under tremendous pressure assisting the influx of needy families as a result of the recent recession. Despite these pressures, Contra Costa County Eligibility Workers processed the complex applications for CalFresh, CalWORKS, Medi-Cal and Health Care Reform Integration in a timely manner.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Eligibility Worker will not receive Board recognition for their outstanding work
