FISCAL IMPACT:

Savings to General Fund of $22,899, which includes an increase of $35,448 to annual pension costs.

BACKGROUND:

The department has determined that the proposed staffing adjustment would benefit the overall operation of the department.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

(Cost Savings)

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the lack of accreditation would impair the functionality of the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff Forensics Division and negatively impact the public health and safety of the citizens of Contra Costa County.
