DECLARE a vacancy on the County Service Area P-2B Citizens Advisory Committee and direct the Clerk of the Board to apply the Board's policy for filling the vacancy.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Established on November 18, 1969, by Board Resolution 69/765, the purpose of the County Service Area P-2B Citizens Advisory Committee is to advise the Board of Supervisors and the Sheriff's Department on the needs of the Alamo/Danville community for extended police services which shall include, but not be limited to, enforcement of the State Vehicle Code, crime prevention, and litter control.  
  
The County Service Area P-2B Citizens Advisory Committee is comprised of nine members who each serve a two year term.  
  
Barbara Cappa was appointed to the First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission. The First 5 and the CSA P-2B CAC meet at the same time monthly.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

A new appointee cannot be selected and appointed to the Appointee 9 Seat of the Committee.
