RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT resignation of Terry Speiker, DECLARE a vacancy in the Mandated Partner Seat No. 3 on the Workforce Development Board, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None

BACKGROUND:

Ms. Spieker was appointed to Mandated Partner Seat No. 3 on June 26, 2012. Mandated Partner Seat No. 3 is designated for Contra Costa County's Employment and Human Services (EHSD) Director. Ms. Speiker serviced as the interim EHSD Director until Ms. Kathy Gallagher recent appointment. Ms. Gallagher will be appointed to this seat at a later date.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Workforce Development Board may have difficulty performing routine business.
