RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21236 to decrease the hours of one (40/40) Public Health Nurse (VVXA) position no. 8442 to (32/40) hours in the Health Services Department.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Upon approval, this action would result in a total annual cost savings of $27,407 associated with the reduction of hours of one Public Health Nurse position. Funding is provided by the California Children's Services - 100% State.

BACKGROUND:

An increase in hours was made in error. Staff person does not wish an increase in hours. The 02/27/12 requst to add (8) hours was denied by HR. When request was approved in October 2012, staff person was no longer available to add 8 hours to her schedule. Staff person continued to work 32/40 schedule.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Position will be inappropriately classified as a (40/40) FTE.
