RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the resignation of Cecilia Valdez, DECLARE a vacancy in the District 1 seat on the Contra Costa Commission for Women, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by Supervisor Gioia.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.  

BACKGROUND:

The purpose of the Contra Costa Commission for Women is to identify major economic, educational and social concerns of women in Contra Costa County, to reach and inform all women on a variety of issues.

Cecilia Valdez informed Supervisor Gioia that she can no longer serve due to scheduling conflicts. The District 1 seat occupied by Cecelia Valdez expires on 2/28/2013.
