RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the resignation of Howard Adler from the Appointee 1 Seat on the County Service Area, P-2A Citizen Advisory Committee; DECLARE a vacancy; and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by Supervisor Piepho.  

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.  

BACKGROUND:

Established on July 24, 1984 by Board Resolution 84/440 and confirmed by the voters on June 18, 1985 (Government Code Section 25210.8 and 25210.9(a)). The purpose of the County Service Area P-2A Citizen Advisory Committee is to advise the Board of Supervisors and the Sheriff's Department on the needs of the Blackhawk community for extended police services which shall include, but not be limited to, enforcement of the State Vehicle Code, crime prevention and litter control.

The Committee is comprised of seven members appointed by the Board of Supervisors.  
  
Mr. Adler notified Supervisor Piepho's office of his resignation to the County Service Area, P-2A Citizen Advisory Committee.  

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The seat will remain unfilled.
