RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Librarian, or designee, to apply for and accept a grant in the amount of $1,000 from the Crockett Community Foundation to purchase materials for Crockett Library for the period March 1, 2012 through June 30, 2012.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No library fund match.

BACKGROUND:

$1,000 from the Crockett Community Foundation will enhance library service to the residents of Crockett. These funds will be used to purchase approximately 75 fiction and mystery titles for adults to better satisfy residents’ reading needs.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If the grant proposal is not approved, 75 fewer fiction and mystery titles will be added to the Library’s collection.
