RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Probation Officer, or designee, to execute a contract with Behavioral Interventions Incorporated in the amount of $150,000 to provide electronic monitoring equipment for the period February 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for electronic monitoring services is included in the Probation Department's annual budget and partially offset by participant fees.
BACKGROUND:
In January 2012 the Purchasing Division of the General Services Department completed a bid process for electronic monitoring equipment on behalf of the Probation Department. The recommended vendor to provide the best combination of price, service and equipment was Behavioral Interventions, Inc. The contract is for a one year period.
