RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) 1129 in an amount not to exceed $1,800,000 for an integrated document capture and content management software system for the period January 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.

FISCAL IMPACT:

$1,800,000: Administrative Overhead (10% County; 45% State; 45% Federal)

BACKGROUND:

The Contra Costa County Employment and Human Services Department, (EHSD) is requesting approval to issue this Request for Proposal (RFP) for an integrated document capture and content management software system and implementation assistance to meet the department’s current and longer term operational requirements. It is desired that the system provide a comprehensive solution for document management including imaging, storage, indexing, tracking, retrieval and workflow management.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

EHSD will be unable to contract for integrated document capture services.
