RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Larry Digman, self-employed individual, to increase the payment limit by $81,600 to a new payment limit of $244,800 for data warehouse analyst services, and extend the term from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012 to April 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012.

FISCAL IMPACT:

$244,800: Administrative Overhead (10% County, 45% State, 45% Federal)

BACKGROUND:

Mr. Digman was selected through the competitive bidding process. He is responsible for assisting with the operation of a data warehouse that includes data from multiple systems, including California Works Information Network (CalWIN). He will analyze, match, and validate data to create reports to support program compliance, business operations, and decision-making.

This Board Order seeks to extend the contract term to allow for the Request for Proposal process.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Employment and Human Services Department will not be able to continue Mr. Digman's services.
