RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to accept a grant in the amount of $15,000 from the City of Brentwood to provide Entrepreneur Training and accept a mutual indemnification clause.

FISCAL IMPACT:

$15,000: City of Brentwood funds

BACKGROUND:

The Small Business Development Center has applied for and received a grant in the amount of $15,000 from the City of Brentwood to provide Entrepreneur Training. Classes will begin March 5, 2012 and conclude on May 9, 2012.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

These valuable services to the City of Brentwood will not be provided.
