BACKGROUND:
Established on November 18, 1969, by Board Resolution 69/765, the purpose of the P-2B Citizen Advisory Committee is to advise the Board of Supervisors and the Sheriff's Department on the needs of the Alamo/Danville community for extended police services which shall include, but not be limited to, enforcement of the State Vehicle Code, crime prevention, and litter control.
The P-2B Citizen Advisory Committee is comprised of nine members who each serve a two year term.
The term to these seats expired December 31, 2010. After an appropriate open filing period for applications was announced, applications were accepted. In consultation with the newly elected Contra Costa County Sheriff David Livingston and the Alamo Municipal Advisory Council (AMAC) the recommendation to appoint the above individuals was then determined.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seats will be unfilled.
