RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve amendments to the Office of the County Counsel’s Conflict of Interest Code to substitute the attached as said code.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

The Office of the County Counsel has amended its conflict of interest code and submitted the revised code to the Board for approval pursuant to Government Code section 87306 and 87306.5. The list of designated positions has been revised to delete positions. In addition, the code has been revised to reflect a new title for the filing officer. These changes are shown on the attached ‘red-line’ version of the code.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Conflict of Interest Code for the Office of the County Counsel will not be amended pursuant to Government Code 87306 and 87306.5.
