RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Risk Manager, or designee, to execute a contract with TCS Risk Management Services to provide consulting services for the Risk Manager and Assistant Risk Manager/Workers' Compensation effective February 1, 2009 through January 31, 2010 in an amount not to exceed $75,000.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Costs for consulting services are funded through the Workers' Compensation Internal Service Fund.

BACKGROUND:

TCS Risk Management Services is owned and operated by Tony Su, MBA and ARM. These services were previously provided under the name Single Source Consulting. The services are being contracted to review, evaluate and consult with the Risk Manager and Assistant Risk Manager/Workers' Compensation. The review will include past and current cost analysis, strategic recommendations, file assessment and ergonomic recommendations for our workers' compensation program.
