RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT 2008 Annual Report on the activities of the Ad Hoc Intercity Rail Advisory Committee.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None to the General Fund. AIRAC activities is a budgeted activity funded by gas tax revenue.

BACKGROUND:

The Board of Supervisors on June 18, 2002 adopted Resolution No. 2002/377 which requires that each regular and ongoing board, commission, or committee shall annually report to the Board of Supervisors on its activities, accomplishments, membership attendance, required training/certification (if any), and proposed work plan or objectives for the following year, on the second Tuesday in December. This report fulfills the requirement for the Ad Hoc Intercity Rail Advisory Committee (AIRAC).
