RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5020 authorizing new revenue from the Contra Costa Office of Education in the amount of $102,400 for the California State Preschool Program (CSPP).

FISCAL IMPACT:

This action is to adjust estimated revenues and appropriated expenditures based on additional funding in the amount of $102,400 approved by the Contra Costa Office of Education for the California State Preschool Program.

BACKGROUND:

This board order is to approve the estimated revenues and appropriated expenditures based on additional funding approved by the Contra Costa Office of Education for the California State Preschool Program.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Appropriations and estimated revenues will not be properly reflected in the FY 21/22 budget.



CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

The Employment and Human Services Department Community Services Bureau supports three (3) of Contra Costa County’s community outcomes – Outcome 1: “Children Ready for and Succeeding in School,” Outcome 3: “Families that are Economically Self-sufficient,” and Outcome 4: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing.” These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County.
