RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #25-012-43 with The Center for Common Concerns, Inc. (dba Homebase), a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $323,953, to provide consultation and technical assistance regarding continuum of care planning and resource development to the department, for the period from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $323,953 for a 12-month period and funded by 67% Housing and Urban Development, 20% Medi-Cal Administrative Activities and 13% Kaiser.

BACKGROUND:

The Center for Common Concerns, Inc. (dba Homebase) has contracted with the County since July 10, 1998.

On July 20, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #25-012-41 with The Center for Common Concerns, Inc. (dba Homebase), in an amount not to exceed $311,150 to provide consultation and technical assistance regarding continuum of care planning and resource development to the department, for the period from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.  
  
On January 19, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment Agreement #25-012-42 to increase the payment limit by $74,549 to a new payment limit of $385,699 to provide additional consultation and technical assistance regarding continuum of care planning and resource development to the department, with no change in the term.  
  
Approval of Contract #25-012-43 will allow the contractor to continue to provide consultation and technical assistance regarding continuum of care planning and resource development to the department through June 30, 2022. This contract request is retroactive due to contract language negotiations.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, the County will not receive supportive services from this contractor.
