RECOMMENDATION(S):

RESCIND Board Action of October 19, 2021 (C.39), which pertained to a Purchase Order with Agiliti Health, Inc.; and APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the Health Services Director, a Purchase Order with Agiliti Healthcare, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $750,000 to provide rental equipment at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) for the period of January 1, 2022, through September 30, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This purchase order will result in budgeted expenditures of up to $750,000 and will be funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.

BACKGROUND:

On October 19, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved a purchase order with Agiliti Health, Inc. to provide rental medical devices and equipment at CCRMC for the period of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022. This action needs to be rescinded due to the term end date proposed to the Board did not match the quote term provided by Agiliti Health, Inc. The correct term end date is September 30, 2022. The quote was provided by Vizient, a group purchasing organization, and the end date of the quote cannot be adjusted as Vizient makes agreements with vendors and sign contracts with specific dates.

Since 2007 the County has contracted with Agiliti Health, Inc. for the rental of medical equipment and devices, such as specialty beds and infusion pumps at CCRMC. The Department is requesting to continue receiving this equipment from the contractor for the period of January 1, 2022, through September 30, 2022.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If the recommendation is not approved, the Purchasing Manager will not be able to execute a purchase order with Agiliti Health, Inc. for the correct term.
