RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a lease with RPE MUIR, LLC, for the lease of approximately 6,656 square feet of office space located at 1320 Arnold Drive, Suite 261, Martinez, for a term of three years, with two 2-year options to renew, beginning on January 1, 2022, at an initial annual rent of $139,776 with annual increases thereafter for use by Health Services, Personnel Administration.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

The County has leased this space for Health Services, Personnel Administration since March 13, 2012. This new lease provides for the group’s continued occupancy through December 31, 2028, with no interruptions to current workflow and services and will allow the Health Services Department to save money on relocation costs.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The services provided by Health Services, Personnel Administration would be disrupted if the department would need to relocate to another space.
