RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement #26-347-37 with Cross Country Staffing, Inc., a corporation, effective December 1, 2020, to amend Contract #26-347-36 to increase the payment limit by $2,000,000 from $4,000,000 to a new payment limit of $6,000,000 and no change in the original term of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.  

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

August 4, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-347-36 with Cross Country Staffing, Inc., for the provision of temporary medical staffing services, including registered nursing, and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) nursing services at CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers for the period from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.  
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
  
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-347-37 will allow the Contractor to provide additional temporary crisis medical staffing services through June 30, 2021.  
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, additional temporary medical staffing services will not be provided to CCRMC.
