RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement #26-745-16 with Medical Solutions, LLC (dba Nebraska Medical Solutions Staffing, LLC), a limited liability company, effective December 1, 2020, to amend Contract #26-745-13 (as amended by Administrative Amendment Agreement #26-745-14 and Contract Amendment Agreement #26-745-15) to increase the payment limit by $1,200,000 from $3,300,000 to a new payment limit of $4,500,000 for temporary medical staffing services Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Centers and the County’s Detention Facilities, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I

BACKGROUND:

On May 26, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-745-13 (as amended by Administrative Amendment Agreement #26-745-14 and Contract Amendment Agreement #26-745-15) with Medical Solutions, LLC (dba Nebraska Medical Solutions Staffing, LLC) for the provision of temporary nursing and medical staff services for CCRMC and Health Centers and the County’s Detention Facilities, for the period from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-745-16 will allow Contractor to continue to provide temporary medical staffing services through June 30, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, County will not have access to Contractor’s services.
