RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement #77-151-2, with KP LLC, a limited liability company, effective November 30, 2020, to amend Contract #77-151-1 to provide additional Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) Membership material services with no change in the original contract payment limit of $4,000,000, and no change in the original term of March 1, 2020 through February 28, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded by 100% Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) Enterprise Fund II. (Additional printing costs)

BACKGROUND:

On March 10, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #77-151-1 with KP LLC for the provision of professional design, technical assistance, printing, publication and distribution of CCHP Membership materials for the period March 1, 2019 through February 28, 2022. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #77-151-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional CCHP Membership material services through February 28, 2022.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services will not be provided.
