RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Administrator, or designee, to execute a contract with Sherpa Government Solutions, LLC in an amount not to exceed $282,194 to provide software maintenance and support for the County budget preparation system for the period of April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2026.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The cost over the period of sixty (60) months will be $282,194 and will be funded by the General Fund.

BACKGROUND:

The County replaced the Budget Reporting and Analysis Software (CGI Inc.) with the Budget Formulation and Management System (Sherpa Government Solutions) in 2016. The requested action will enable the County to continue to have software maintenance and support for the Budget Formulation and Management System through March, 2026 and allow for end-user licenses for the Business Objects reporting module.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The County will not receive software maintenance and support for the budget system and system users will not receive necessary licenses to utilize the Business Objects reporting module.
