RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE the attached changes to the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Advisory Board Bylaws, as recommended by the AOD Board and Health Services Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact for this action.

BACKGROUND:

The current bylaws state that the AOD Advisory Board shall develop an effective, concerted, and countywide campaign to reduce alcohol and other drug abuse. The Board recognizes the wider range of professional and non-professional expertise in the field of Substance Use and as such there is consensus about review of information and data as well as participation in activities that can further increase understanding prior to making recommendations.
