RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #77-180-2 with Best Steps Psychology, P.C, a professional corporation, in an amount not to exceed $225,000, to provide Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations (CDE) services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members for the period November 1, 2020 through October 31, 2023.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract will be funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In May 2019, County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #77-180 with Best Steps, LLC (now known as Best Steps Psychology, P.C.) (as amended by Amendment Agreement #77-180-1) for the provision of CDE services for CCHP Members for the period November 1, 2019 through October 31, 2020.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #77-180-2 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide CDE services for CCHP Members through October 31, 2023.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services will not be provided to CCHP members.
